The Geometric Thinking Levels Of Mathematics Pre-service Teachers’ In Northern Ghana Colleges Of Education
The study was carried out in the three (3) Northern regions of Ghana where five Mathematics / Science Colleges of Educations were involved. The purpose of the study was to investigate the Mathematics Pre-service Teachers Van Hiele levels of geometric thinking in Northern Ghana. A sample of 298 MPST from Upper East, Upper West and Northern regions of Ghana was used for the study. The sample composed of fifty 50 (16.8%) female and two hundred and forty-eight 248 (83.2%) male MPST. Both purposive and simple random sampling techniques were used. The MPST were given Van Hiele Geometry Test during their second year second semester. From the results of the VHGT levels, 150 (50.3%) reached Van Hiel
