This case study aims to scrutinize firm-specific challenges in export performance. The research uses qualitative approach following the perspective of resource-based view of companies. It embraces and independently analyses the production capability, management attitude towards export market and the level of knowledge and skill. The result of the analysis of both companies is also compared. The study shows production capability is ascertained in MCF but with necessary management intervention on knowledge of cost while knowledge and skill, the propensity to export market and customer orientation remain a challenge to the company.
