Challenges Of Spare Parts Access In Cement Industry: The Case Of Ethiopian Cement Manufacturers
Cement Companies in Ethiopia have faced increasing challenges in their ability to manage their supply chains. They are currently facing the challenge of accessing spare-parts which keep the equipment running with maximum production and to execute proactive maintenance. Therefore, the general objective of the study was to examine factors hindering Ethiopian Cement Industry to access spare-parts from MNCs. In order to quench this objective the researchers judgmentally selected 5 Cement manufacturing companies i.e. Messebo, Muger, National, Derba and Dangote Cement companies since they are huge cement producers in the country.
