Active case finding is one of the main strategies for the early detection of tuberculosis. This is a precursor to effective treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) through the screening of individuals with symptoms compatible with PTB. The aim of the study was to actively find undiagnosed cases of pulmonary tuberculosis in the general population of Buguma, Rivers state. Purposeful sampling method was used.
