Success in school is an excellent marker for general adolescent well-being; school failure in adolescence is a powerful indicator of other high risk behaviors, such as delinquency, substance abuse and pregnancy. The purpose of the study Extent to which guidance and counseling is helpful in preventing school failure in adolescents in Muhoroni Division, Nyando District of Kericho County. The researcher adopted a survey research design that utilized both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The design enabled researcher to determine the existence of relationship between the independent variable guidance and counseling and the dependent variables; preventing of school failure in adolescence.
