Socio- Economic Empowerment Of Rural Women In Hai District
This study was undertaken to assess socio-economic empowerment of rural women in Hai district.The study involved 125 households selected through multi-stage random sampling and finally women in each household were purposive selected so as to obtain information. Primary data were obtained using semi-structured interviews, questionnaires and focus group discussions. Cumulative empowerment index (CEI) and regression analysis were employed to analyze data. Results indicated that majority of women (52%) belong to moderate, high and very high empowerment.
