Global trade agreements have fueled a positive drastic changes in cargo tonnage handled at the ports in most developing economies. Remarkably, in the case of Nigeria, the Tin Can Island Port has witnessed a significant rise in cargo, largely due to the reforms in port management in the country. In this regards, most related studies seems to be biased towards the developed economics.
