The purpose of this study was to investigate the challenges and prospects of successful women in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs and their implications for the girl-child. The study employed qualitative research design and semi-structured interview guide was the data collection instruments. Four outstanding female professionals working in STEM related programs in Ghana were selected using purposive and snowball sampling techniques to solicit information necessary for the study.
