An Evaluation Of The Quality Of Sandcrete Blocks Used For Construction In Minna Metropolis, Niger State, Nigeria
The durability of a structure largely depends on the quality of materials used in its construction. In a building construction a sandcrete hollow block is one of those materials commonly used across the globe. This article analyzed the quality of sandcrete hollow blocks produced by the block Industries in Minna metropolis, Niger State of Nigeria to evaluate their rate of water absorption as well as their compressive strengths. Four block Industries were randomly selected and six samples of blocks were taken from each of the Block Industries and subjected to a laboratory tests.
