Body Mass Index (BMI) is a technique of measuring the body fat accumulation using the individual's weight and height. This work dealt with construction of a locally made Arduino based automated Body Mass Index (BMI) machine with Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), that works on the principle of Hooke's law and acoustic wave, which is affordable, accurate, rugged, accessible for individuals for regular check of obesity status. The statistical analysis used to measure the accuracy of the designed automatic BMI machine and the manual is presented. The height (H) and weight (W) data were obtained from 15 to 65 years old among the randomly selected 120 people
