Green building innovation is created by environmental experts to mitigate the significant impact of buildings on the environment, society and nations' economy. In the last two decades, several studies has been published on green building. This paper reports on investigations on the drivers, hindrances and prospects of green building initiatives in Nigeria. It reviewed previous literatures and conducted field survey in which perceptions of relevant building industry professionals on identified indices of drivers, hindrances and prospects of green building were analyzed.
