In the recent times accounting has taken a new toll, the ever-increasing financial activities and the need to timely and accurately get financial information, have led to the upsurge of installing cloud accounting in many organizations. Hence the study investigated cloud accounting and relationship with economic systems in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Three research question were asked and three hypotheses formulated to guide the study. The research employed descriptive survey and quantitative design. The population of the study consisted of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria in 2022 appraisal year.
