Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory (elt): Kiswahili Composition Writing Perspective
The cardinal principal in teaching is promoting learning achievement in individual learner. According to Kolb (1984) learners develop individual learning styles that are consistent with subject matter presentation. Therefore, the diversity of learning styles makes it necessary for teachers to look for variety in the methods they use.Manolas (2003) observed that learner involvement in the learning process could be achieved through active, rather than passive, learning approaches. Similarly, Dunn (2002) indicated that Kolb's Experiential Learning Theory (ELT) and Learning Style Inventory (LSI) are acknowledged by academics as fundamental concepts towards understanding and explainig learning .
