The study assessed the information needs of farmers, sources of information and ICTs challenges. Challenges such as lack of income, lack of ICT infrastructure, gender inequalities, lack of skills and education, lack of awareness of benefits and inappropriate policies and regulations were identified as affecting the use of ICTs for agricultural development. If these challenges are addressed, ICTs would have impact on the agricultural production, marketing, environment sustainability and adoption of new agricultural innovations and thus enhance livelihoods. The implication is that ICTs contribute to achieving a sustainable green economy through solving the hunger and poverty problems. Download
