This research paper on housing and urban development through proper infrastructural facility for a sustainable vision is an approach to the macro aspect of necessity for the future of Bhubaneswar as a Metro. The though based conceptual ideation of the subject has comprehended the holistic dimensions to development; with concern for environment driven through 3-R policy. The discussions dealt on the spate of rapid urbanization due to liberalization, population boom since two decades; and the need to address the challenges. Need for affordable housing and provisions for urban amenities through public private participation (PPP) have been shared in the evolving ideas disseminated.
