Neisseria gonorrhoeae which cause gonorrhoeae infection in both men and women are associated with urethral discharge and painful urination (dysuria). The ultimate objectives of these research work is to determine the susceptibility pattern of N. gononrrhoeae in the Volta region of Ghana.
Samples were obtained from both males and females within the age category of 18 and 50 years. Culture, isolation and Kirby Bauer susceptibility testing was performed on all the isolates. Five antimicrobial agents were used for the study. Three of the antimicrobials proved 100% effective while the organism resisted the other two drugs. Download
