Zimbabwe faces numerous challenges of infectious diseases. These challenges are being experienced in all parts of the country. In addition, there is the problem of gross inequalities in the spatial incidence rate of such diseases which date back to the colonial era. The article examines spatial patterns (spatial epidemiology) of diarrhoea in Zimbabwe. It discusses the major features of the study area, the description of how quartiles were determined (the method of data analysis), the spatial pattern of diarrhoea in the country and finally, the recommendations to suggest strategies and methods of reducing the impact of diarrhoea in the country.
