The Portrayal Of Professional Medical Ethics In Nigerian Yoruba Home Videos
This study examines the portrayal of the ethics of the Medical profession as displayed by physicians in Nollywood using the Yoruba home video as a point of reference. The data used for the analysis were gathered from purposive randomly selected films that have scenes that represent the ethical relationship of physicians. These were analysed against the Medical Ethics of Informed Consent, Non-maleficient, Beneficience, Justice and Confidentiality using the Psychoanalytic theory and Ethical Fading and Bounded Ethicality as conceived by Bazerman and Tenbrunsel.
