This study was done on the appraisal of the various techniques adopted for monitoring and controlling sales force behavior among Nigerian banks. Two objectives were sought in the study. These include; determining the most significantly techniques adopted by the banks operating in Nigeria; and to determine the relative effects of each of the techniques on the performance of the salespeople. A sample of 95 bank sales managers was selected from nineteen (19) banks operating in Nigeria. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection.
