Logistic Regression Analysis To Identify The Significant Risk Factors Of Under-five Mortality In Ghana
The study examined the risk factors of under-five mortality in the Ghana Demographic and Health Survey (GDHS) 2014 data. The objective of the study was to identify the significant risk factors of under-five mortality in Ghana and investigate the extent of the effect of these factors. The risk factors were investigated by fitting a logistic regression model of under-five mortality against some selected independent variables using SAS version 9.1 for windows. Three factors (number of people in a household, total number of children ever born by a respondent and the age of respondent at first birth) were found to be the significant risk factors of under-five mortality in the observed data.
