Research on gender differences in cognitive performance has engendered a great deal of interest among academics and policy makers. The present study examined the relationship between gender and Mathematics performance and the extent to which this relationship might be influenced by age among students in the New Juaben municipality in the Eastern region of Ghana. The study was based on a sample of 362 students drawn from four different senior high schools within the municipality where a stratified sampling technique was employed to select respondents.
