Climate change is expected to have adverse impacts on rain-fed agricultural practices in Kenya. A high inter-annual and intra-seasonal rainfall variability accompanied by drought and flood risks with a resultant decline in agricultural productivity are predicted in semi-arid areas of Kenya.
