VSM is a lean tool used to visualize the current process and information flow necessary to bring out the products or provide services for the customer. Now day’s lean principles that revolutionized manufacturing industry are bringing dramatic changes to the service sectors, like pathology, hospital. Elimination of waste and continues improvement make batter to lean principle. This paper wish to present the systematic step to identify waste in the system and also describes how to VSM is applicable in the testing laboratory.
