Background: Escherichia coli O157 and non-O157 infection are one of the major emerging public health problems in many parts of the world. Aim: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of both Escherichia coli O157 and non-O157 serogroups in meat and water samples in Uyo, Nigeria.
