Neo Traditional Pastoral Community Climate Change Coping Strategy In The Southern Rangelands Of Kenya
This study was carried out in the Southern Maasai rangelands of Kenya between November 2010 and June 2011 with the specific objective of assessing socio economic climate change coping strategies in the Southern rangelands of Kenya in Mashuru Sub-Country, Kajiado County. The overall goal was to develop a strategy for enhancing neo-traditional climate change coping in a semi-arid pastoralist region. Cross sectional survey of 380 households in Mashuru district was carried out and data collected using participatory methods including: Focus group discussions with livestock keepers, and key informant interviews. The findings of this study revealed the effects of climate change and coping strategy
