Urban Road Sedimentation: A Menace To Traffic Flow In Calabar Metropolis
The aim of this study was to determine how sedimentation on the roads of Calabar has influenced the free flow of traffic as well as reducing the aesthetic value of the roads in the area. Eight major roads (tarred) in Calabar Municipality formed the building block of this study. The choice of these roads was based on the magnitude or severity of the problem witnessed here. The roads chosen for study were Murtala Mohammed Highway, Marian, Atamunu, Palm Street, Etta Agbor, MCC, Ekpo Abasi and Calabar road. Along each road, five samples points were chosen for analysis.
