The reference section of every library is seen as one of the important aspects of the library. This paper therefore examined the use of reference services in the library of Valley View University in Ghana. Data was collected from 112 respondents out of a total population of 125. Data was collected through the use of standardized questionnaire measuring the usage rate of students who patronage the Valley View library. The study discovered that majority of students are aware of the reference materials in the library, and the main purpose of visiting the reference section of the library was to do research and also to complete their assignments.
