The English language still serves as Nigeria’s eye on the world. For the Nigerian learner/student to acquire the skills to communicate effectively in this language, the language teacher must be skilled adequately to be able to expose the learner to the appropriate skills that will enhance the learner’s achievement and competence in the language.
