Settlements represent the most profound human alteration of the natural environment through a spectrum of urban land use activities. This is no longer restricted to the mega urban centres but also occurring in the smaller urban centre. The role of small and intermediate urban centers in local, regional and national development and sustainable urbanization is immense but truncated by this development.This study assesses urban growth dynamics of Anyigba a medium sized urban centre in Kogi state Nigeria.
