Overweight and obesity are major risk factors to cardiovascular and metabolic diseases which contributes to the burden of chronic diseases around the world. This study assessed the Body composition, risk of obesity and cardiovascular disease among market women in Ondo State. It was a cross sectional study of 151 women trading in three randomly selected markets in Owo. Semi-structured questionnaire was used to elicit information on sociodemographic status of the respondents, 24-hr dietary recall was used to assess dietary intake of respondents anthropometric and blood pressure measurements were done using standard procedures.
