Quality Healthcare Delivery And Customer Satisfaction In Ghana: A Study Of Nhis Subscribers In The Wa Municipality
The introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in 2003, has seen more health coverage and access to healthcare services in Ghana, the healthcare debate has therefore shifted from access to quality healthcare service delivery to patients. This study therefore assessed quality healthcare delivery and customer satisfaction of healthcare services among NHIS subscribers in the Wa Municipality. Specifically, the study assessed the process of service delivery through NHIS funding and by employing eight tenets of the SERVQUAL model, ascertained the level of subscribers’ satisfaction with service delivery by NHIS accredited facilities in the Wa Municipality.
