Dollar-denominated real estate transactions and cases of airlines, luxury hotels, and high-brow schools’ demand for payment in US dollars appear to be on the increase in Nigerian cities. This study aims to ascertain the incidence of dollarization of real estate transactions in Lagos property market; examine its legality; and identify causal factors and implications. It is a descriptive research of survey studies’ format. Study population consists of recognized firms of estate surveyors with non-probability purposive sampling technique adopted and sample size of 176 derived from the formula developed by Cochran.
