The implication of Environmental degradation far reaching to human health, animals and plants through pollution of air, water and soil. To mitigate this pollution standard guidelines on management of the environment have been developed. This study investigated the influence of environmental management systems on environmental performance of manufacturing firms in Nairobi City County, Kenya. The study adopted a descriptive research design that was cross sectional in nature.
