Evaluation Of Growth And Yield Of Garden Eggs (solanum Melongena) Grown Under Different Spacing In Techiman Municipality Of Ghana
This experiment was carried out at Valley View University Agribusiness research farm to study the growth and yield of garden egg (Solanum melongena) using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The seedlings were planted at four different spacings, 50cm x 40cm, 60cm x 45cm, 60cm x 60cm and 75cm x 60cm. The results showed that 75cm x 60cm spacing produced the highest number of leaves. Plant height was significantly influenced by spacing. Plants grown at a spacing of 60cm x 45cm were the tallest at the end of the study. It was observed that plants grown at a spacing of 60cm x 60cm produced the highest number of flowers in this study. Though the number of fruits was not significantly influe
