This study established the level of contribution of urban farming to food security at family level by women. In the study, a number of research techniques were used to gather the relevant data which include the questionnaire, in-depth interview and observation as well as official data. The outcome of the study shows that urban farming makes a significant contribution towards food security at family level to those who practice it.
