The Role Of Women In Achieving Food Security At Family Level Through Urban Farming: Rusape Town Case Study
This study established the level of contribution of urban farming to food security at family level by women. In the study, a number of research techniques were used to gather the relevant data which include the questionnaire, in-depth interview and observation as well as official data. The outcome of the study shows that urban farming makes a significant contribution towards food security at family level to those who practice it. The study also identified key challenges faced by women practicing urban farming and makes recommendations to the stakeholders to fully support urban farming by providing inputs support, allocation of land and development of a comprehensive framework in line with wDownloadViews: 4
