Effects Of Cropping System And Fertilizer Application On The Yield And Antioxidant Components Of Tomato
An experiment was conducted at the National Horticultural Research Institute, Ibadan, to investigate the effects of cropping system and fertilizer type on the yield and antioxidant components of tomato. The yield of 20.22ton/ha from the sole cropping system was found to be significantly higher than the yield of the intercropping system which was 14.04ton/ha. Tomato yield was significantly different between fertilization treatments; the results showed that the yield of 24.5 tons/ha recorded in the plots treated with 120kgN NPK 15-15-15 (F5) was significantly higher than other fertilizer treatments. Yield from 60kgN/ha of NPK 15-15-15 (18.12 tons/ha), from 20tons/ha of poultry manure (18.42
