An attempt has been made in this piece of work to study the collaborative leadership approach in the management practices of secondary steel sector in Bellary district in Karnataka. Four number of industries were selected from two categories of units i.e. promoters driven management & executive driven management based on their consistency of operation. All executives at different committees of those units were taken as respondents. The study reveals that the respondents have a good understanding regarding the concept & extent of usefulness of this approach in the present juncture. Further, the extent of found greater in executive driven units compared to promoters driven units.
