The study examines the effects of the application of budget and budgetary control on the performance of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana. The study adopted a quantitative descriptive research strategy to address the objectives. Primary data was collected from 200 SME managers/owners/senior staff using a structured questionnaire. The study adopted descriptive techniques for data analysis using techniques such as mean and standard deviation. The results of the study were presented in charts and tables.
