Influence Of Genotype And Dietary Supplementation Of Acetylsalicylic Acid On Egg Quality Traits Of Two Breeds Of Layers At Late Stage Of Production
Poultry species are highly sensitive to heat stress and this has adverse effect on their performance, hence this study investigated the effect of genotype and dietary supplementation of acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) on egg quality characteristics of Isa Brown and Harco Black breeds of layers at late production. One hundred and ninety two (192) sixty weeks old layers (96 Harco Black and 96 Isa Brown) were used for this study, four treatment diets were formulated with acetylsalicylic acid at 0% (T1), 0.025% (T2), 0.050% (T3), and 0.075% (T4) inclusion level. Data on egg quality characteristic were collected.
