The paper examines the RESS approach to web design. RESS advocates sending only the content required for display on a device to a web browser by using server side device detection techniques. It is especially desirable for its ability to reduce web page load time, and could adapt properly on varied devices. The aim was to determine the performance and adaptive benefits of RESS on varied devices. Results show that with a proper design plan, RESS is performance effective and achievable. Download
