The existing evidence on women participation in development shows that they play a critical role in the development of rural areas. With little or no benefits at all from their participation, men still dominate the decisions pertaining to the expenditure of the farm yields. This paper sought to examine the influence of demographic characteristics of women on performance of women self-help groups in Nyandarua Central, sub-county, Kenya.
