The study examines informal crime control mechanism in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria. In the process of carrying out this study, two study objectives were raised which guided the formulation of two hypotheses for the study. Empirical and theoretical Literature relevant to the study were reviewed. The survey design was adopted for the study. The study adopted purposive sampling technique, three (3) section, thirty-four (34) point questionnaires was administered to 400 respondents comprising residents from the four selected communities in Obudu Local Government Area, so as to elicit information on the variables under study.
