A Study On Emotional Autonomy Among Adolescents
Adolescence is a transitional stage of physical and mental human development that occurs between childhood and adulthood. During this transition period, adolescence confronts the challenge of developing autonomy – the capacity to think, feel and act on their own. The quest for autonomy not only involves separation from parents and the development of self-reliance but also raises issues related to emotionality. Descriptive design was adopted and purposive sampling technique was used to collect the samples. Steinbergs emotional autonomy scale was used to measure emotional autonomy.
